Macmillan Summertime Walk

Come and join us on our annual Macmillan Summertime Walk - a lovely 12 mile walk around Telford following the South Telford Heritage Trail. You will take in some lovely countryside and remains of our industrial heritage including the Ironbridge. There is also a shorter 3 mile family friendly walk option. All proceeds from this event goes to Macmillan Cancer Support in Shropshire.

Surface
Mixed terrain starting on grass. Around 90% of the walk is on paths and away from the main road.

Use TF4 3NZ for sat nav directions and follow signs for Telford Town Park and Wonderland parking.
Setting
Starting at the Telford Hornets Rugby Club on the edge of Telford Town Park and following the South Telford Heritage Trail.
Profile
Mostly flat but some hills. There are some steep steps and narrow woodland path which makes the 12 mile walk not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Refreshment Places
Water available en route. Cafes and pubs along part of the route.
Prizes
All participants will receive a T-shirt at the start of the walk and medal on completion of the walk.

Well behaved dogs are allowed on the walks but must be kept on a lead at all times.
