Ludlow Cycling Festival – Apple Tree Ride

Sunday 16th September 2018 11:00

This is a leisurely 27km ride led by Maria Clayfield and her team and we aim to keep everyone together whatever your age and level of experience. Our route leaves Ludlow on Fishmore Road, heading in to the broad Corvedale valley and passing through the sleepy village of Stanton Lacey and Ludlow Race Course. Still heading north on quiet, gently rolling lanes we pick up Sustrans National Cycle Route 44 to enjoy the stunning views across Corvedale to Titterstone Clee Hill that dominates Ludlow’s landscape. The Apple Tree pub in Onibury is our designated stop and you can enjoy their food or perhaps eat your picnic in their garden. Heading for home we finally take the underpass to avoid the busy A49 at Ludlow Food Centre before cruising through the leafy Earl of Plymouth Estate back to the Rugby Club. Places are limited to 40 so please register early.
