Ludlow Cycling Festival – Ride To The River

Sunday 18th September 2016 11:00

This is a leisurely 30km ride led by Ray Hughes and his team and we aim to keep everyone together whatever your age and level of experience. Our route leaves Ludlow on the Wigmore Road, climbing through Mortimer Forest then dropping to Elton and passing through Burrington on quiet lanes. We stop for lunch in Leintwardine where, by kind permission of the Harley Estate, you may eat your own picnic lunch on Brockley Meadow at the riverside close to the confluence of the rivers Clun and Teme. A fine chance to replenish your energy reserves and cool your toes in the lovely waters (optional of course!) – before heading back through Downton-on-the-Rock and then the Earl of Plymouth Estate to the Rugby Club. Places are limited to 40 so please register early.
